Usage Guide
The tool queries your current public IP automatically when the page loads. No input is required. Empty fields returned by the APIs are skipped.
- On load the tool gets your public IP and Chinese location from IPIP.net, then queries ipwho.is for the postal code, latitude, longitude and time zone of that same IP.
- Badges below the IP show the address family (IPv4 or IPv6) and the IPIP API status.
- Info cards list every non-empty field: IP address, country, province, city, district, ISP, postal code, latitude, longitude and time zone. Empty values are omitted entirely.
- Click "Refresh" to query again after switching networks or toggling a proxy.
- Click "Copy IP" to copy only the address, or "Copy Full Details" to copy all displayed fields, one per line.
- The "Raw Response" section at the bottom shows the complete JSON from both APIs for verification.
- If the supplementary API is unavailable, the IP and location still display normally and a notice explains that the postal code, coordinates and time zone could not be retrieved. Click "Load Sample Data" to preview the full layout offline.
The query is sent directly from your browser to myip.ipip.net and ipwho.is. This site does not store your IP address or the result. Postal codes and coordinates are city-level estimates for reference only.
Features
- Automatic lookup: queries the APIs on page load and displays your current exit IP immediately.
- All non-empty fields: IP, country, province, city, district, ISP, postal code, latitude, longitude and time zone, with empty values automatically skipped; the raw JSON from both APIs is shown as well.
- Same-IP enrichment: the supplementary lookup targets the IP returned by the primary API, so proxy routing cannot mismatch location and coordinates.
- IPv4 / IPv6 detection: the address family is detected and labeled automatically.
- One-click copy: copy just the IP address or the full labeled details.
- Graceful fallback and sample data: if the supplementary API fails, the basic information still renders with a notice, and offline sample data is available for preview.
- Fully client-side: calls public endpoints directly from your browser, without involving this site's server or database.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why does the location differ from where I actually am?
IP geolocation reflects the registered location of the network exit node, not the physical position of your device. VPNs, proxies, mobile networks and carrier routing can all make the reported city or ISP differ from your actual location.
How accurate are the postal code, coordinates and time zone?
The postal code and coordinates come from the ipwho.is IP geolocation database and are typically accurate to city level, not device GPS. The time zone is the registered time zone of that IP. With a VPN or proxy these values can differ from your actual location and should be treated as general reference only.
Is my IP address logged or uploaded?
No. The lookups are performed directly by your browser against myip.ipip.net and ipwho.is. This site does not handle the requests and does not store your IP address or the result in any database. The data is provided by those third-party services.
Does it support IPv6?
Yes. If your network reaches the APIs over IPv6, the page detects it and shows an IPv6 badge, and the location, postal code, coordinates and time zone fields are displayed the same way.
What should I do if the lookup fails or stays in a loading state?
Check your network connection and make sure browser extensions (ad blockers, privacy tools) are not blocking myip.ipip.net or ipwho.is. Requests time out after 12 seconds; click "Refresh" to retry. If only the postal code, coordinates or time zone are missing, the IP and location still display normally.
